Starting with, it is very necessary to washing hand for the purpose of Hand hygiene with water or any another liquid using soap for the result of removing soil, dirt and other microorganism. In the medical terminology washing hands refers to the administration of    soap and water to clean away hands from the pathogens including bacteria and viruses and from chemicals that can cause personal harm or disease. Below are some of the imperative facts which are very necessary to keep in mind as from the perspective of washing hand.

1. As the children are most prone to spreading a disease, specially, when they play in group of five or six children. Once a cold, cough and diarrhea get started it can be passed around even for months.  Therefore, hand washing can prevent from spreading those diseases and is the single most reliable measure to prevent spreading of hepatitis A and other intestinal tract illnesses.

2. Small kids are more use to the habit of putting their mouths, holding hands thus passing more cold viruses from person to person. The fluids that borne in Air resulting from sneezing and coughing contains germs which can live within surfaces for a longer period of time. These germs live on surfaces like doorknobs, feeding trays, sink faucets and toys. Therefore, it is very imperative to clean them up regularly apart from washing of hands.

4. The hands should be washed in case they have come into contact with fluids like nose or mouth whether child is suffering or not suffering from cold. And tissues should be properly disposed of noses, mouth or hands.

5. Wise wording a little is better than nothing is very appropriate for hand washing. Merely a bowl of soapy water passed around the table or stream of water squirted on hands is not enough for washing hands.  Soap and warm running water, rubbing of hand vigorously, washing of all surfaces of hands including hands, wrists, between fingers and underneath fingernails is necessary for washing hands.

6. It is also very necessary for child care providers to wash hands and follow hand washing rules. He/she should wash hands well before starting work, before preparing food, diapering a child, wiping child’s nose and cleaning up messes or after a trip to the bathroom.

7. Provide students and children with routine practice of washing hands whenever possible and have vigil and observation of children when they are learning the practice whether they are doing it in right and proper manner.
